GlowSet effortlessly connects to any HVLP spray tan machine using standard Fuji quick-connect fittings. PLEASE NOTE: GlowSet requires an HVLP machine and is not compatible with cordless spray tan machines. We're currently in the process of developing a universal connector for machines that use different fittings.

A powder cloud is NOT a flaw--a little puff of powder may feel correct, but a small amount of powder won't dry your client. Real drying results takes more powder than you expect.

Yes, it's totally normal for air to come out of the trigger.  It's a key part of the design to ensure proper airflow.  Regular spray tan guns that spray a wet solution have to be completely sealed, but since GlowSet is for dry powder, it operates differently.

GlowSet is a patent-pending design that is custom made for the spray tan industry via additive manufacturing, which is commonly called 3D printing.

3D printing has exploded and is often done by hobbyists at home, which may cause a misconception about the quality of 3D printed products. GlowSet is manufactured in the US by a state-of-the-art 3D printing manufacturer using the same technology now used to make parts for jet engines and even medical implants, it is NOT 3D printed on a home hobby 3D printer.

There are other blowers on the market that were pre-made overseas for other purposes like applying insecticides to gardens and then relabeled as a spray tanning tool. GlowSet is a precision engineered patent-pending tool, that was designed and manufactured specifically for spray tan artists, by a spray tan artist.

Yes! Different powders have different particle sizes, shapes, and particle size distribution, which means the sizes of each tiny particle can vary in size. These differences can cause your powder to perform differently no matter how it’s applied, but it definitely makes a difference with our GlowSet Powder Gun!

Through endless testing, our team found the ‘winning powder formula’ that has shown the least amount of “dusting” effect in the air while using GlowSet. You can purchase GlowSet No-Dust Spray Tan Finishing Powder here or, you can use a blend with either Tapioca Starch or Rice Starch and nothing else.

You can also use a combined mixture with arrowroot powder or cornstarch, BUT THEY MUST BE MIXED WITH EITHER TAPIOCA OR RICE STARCH!

GlowSet No-Dust Finishing Powder is formulated with three key components:

• Organic Tapioca Starch (cassava root, sourced from various regions including Vietnam, Paraguay, and Peru) — food-grade, naturally derived non-toxic powder base with heavier particles that settle quickly and resist aerosolization
• Cosmetic-Grade Iron Oxide Pigments (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) — FDA Approved color additives used in professional spray tan solutions and cosmetics
• Natural Fragrance (Bare Pear Scent) — cosmetic-grade essential oil blend

All ingredients are food-grade or cosmetic-grade and meet FDA safety standards for external use.

Like all spray tan applications, GlowSet powder is designed for use in professional environments with standard spray tan safety practices:

• Proper ventilation and exhaust (standard HVLP booth setup)
• Optional masks for extended back-to-back sessions

The formulation and pre-dispersed colorant technology minimize airborne particulate during application, consistent with industry standards.

Testing & Documentation
GlowSet maintains full ingredient documentation, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and certificates of analysis on all raw materials. Finished-product airborne exposure testing is available upon request for professional buyers and distributors.

It's important to make sure you're storing your powder in an airtight container in a NON-HUMID environment for best performance with GlowSet, as moisture can cause the powder to clump.

If you experience a random burst or inconsistent powder flow, check your cup fill level and make sure it's not too full and not too empty. Give the gun a light shake and tap the powder jar against your palm. Remember: we are not used to working with dry ingredients. Unlike the liquids we use every day, dry powder can clump slightly — that's all it is. You may also want to try a different kind of powder. Some powders may be too dense to work in a powder blowing gun.
